Maximum depth reaches about 55 to 60 feet near the Bluewater Bridge and again well downstream near the upper end of Basset Island and north of Seaway Island by a mile or two just off the top of my head; but off St. Clair, Michigan there are depths of only two to three feet at the St. Clair Middleground in the middle of the river hence the commercial channel is well over on the United States side of the river through there. Not sure if this is what you were looking for but it might help you a bit. It just depends where on the river you are as it can very quite a bit and does move from side to side, etc. as one moves up or down the river. At the mouth of the river on the north end of Lake St. Clair or for that matter anywhere on Lake St. Clair there would be no commercial freighter channel were it not for dredging.
