The CCGS Griffon went through Kingston yesterday, did some buoy work and then went on to the Welland Canal. Today,The Commodore Straits came up the Canadian Middle Channel from Quebec Head, past Kingston, between Amherst Island and the mainland. She was pushing a barge which had little freeboard and carried cargo. The spray was building ice up as well. This was because they wanted a lee from the weather. The Stephen B. Roman has departed Picton for Oswego. She passed Pig Point at 1635.
