To be general: anything that has water in it is drained. Any bare metal part that requires lubrication is well lubed. Dry and sealed is the plan. If a ship is being considered for re-entry into service, then a maintenance crew checks on the boat from time to time. Lakers have successfully been stored for 3-5 years with minimal problems. More than 5 can be problematic even with part-time maintenance.
