Try www.navsource.org for info on USS, USAT, and USNS Gen W C Langfitt. The ship sailed as a US Navy Transport (USS) during WW II then after the war first as an Army Transport (USAT)and then as a Military Sea Transportation Service transport (USNS) The ship was later converted into a containership by Seatrian Lines. There are multiple photos of the ship at he above web site for the ship.
