ArcelorMittal may be shutting the hot end (blast furnaces and basic oxygen furnaces) at their mill in Cleveland as part of a move to reduce steel supply due to the poor economic conditions. As this is the mill the American Republic was specifically designed to serve it makes some sense that it would lay-up early. I would guess that some of the other river class boats might see an early end to the season as well assuming this shutdown actually comes to pass.
