I saw, on the Interlake Website, under Photo Galleries, John Sherwin, some of the work being done in the engine room at Bay Shipbuilding. My question is-what was the enormous gear that was removed from the Engine Room? I thought I heard that was the Reduction Gear-but wanted to be sure. Can someone verify? Also-what will be done with that? Refurbished and returned to Interlake's Part Warehouse-or melted down for scrap? Just wondering. Thanks!
