With all this talk about conversion of a number of steamships to diesel power (the Interlake conversions, rumors that Great Lakes Fleet is going to re-power its steamers, the dieslization of the Saginaw), has anyone heard if they are considering re-powering the Wilfred Sykes? After all, she is smaller and older than the other candidates for conversion, and considering how powerful she is, her boilers must burn a lot of Bunker C.
