Jeff, if you can get a hold of Greenwood's Fleet History Series - Volume Two, there are two photographs of the T.J. McCarthy on page 126. One is of her as a combination bulk freighter and auto carrier in 1941, and the other shows her as an auto carrier with a "flight deck" in 1963. On page 125, there is a 1936 photo of her as the Morris S. Tremaine (her previous name). The volume also contains a history of the company, all of its ships, and the T.J. McCarthy.
