Since salt is so corrosive I'm wondering about the boats that carry it. Are they older ones that only have a few years left anyway? Or dedicated to hauling salt only? Special stainless steel unloading machinery? Do they charge a premium for salt hauling to allow for extra cleaning and maintenance?
