The interior rooms on the CTC No. 1 are pretty much gutted/unfurnished (with the exception of an old chair here or there) and are either empty or used for storage. It is not exactly rat-infested, but it is no longer kept up like an operating vessel, it is treated as a piece of storage/transfer equipment. Not sure about the S.T. Crapo, since she operated more recently.
