The *Maurice B. Grover* hit the bank coming out of the Rock Cut at the Soo on 22 September 1905 and sank in the channel. She was raised and converted to a barge over the winter of 1905-06. She did burn to the water's edge inside the Cleveland breakwall on 26 October 1906, but was repaired, and remained in documentation until 24 March 1915. I suspect the wreck at St. Clair is that of her.
