Jim, I am not sure if this will be of help to you or not, but the Maurice B Grover is mentioned in *Great Lakes Ships We Remember II*. It says (in part) *The schooner John Martin, in tow of the steamer Maurice B Grover, was downbound with ore from Two Harbors, MN to Lake Erie ports. The Grover and Martin had hardly bypassed this wreck when the Grover was passing the straight back steamer *Yuma*, upbound. Suddenly and without warning, the Yuma veered and hit the Martin, sending her to the bottom of the river adn taking four of her crew with her*. It states that this happened in the St. Clair Rapids, near where the Blue Water Bridge spans the river. (in 1900)
