Morton operated the *Craigsmere* and *Covalt,* both "stemwinders," the former until 1928, the latter until the fleet wound up in 1942. Morton also ran the wooden steamers *John Oades,* *Marion,* *Minne E. Kelton,* and *Normandie* as well as the wooden barges *Aurora* and *Frank C. Leighton* from its plants at Manistee and Ludington, 1904-1924. The *MS 74* referred to above was built as hull no.3444 at Caruthersville, MO, by the Caruthersville SY Inc. to replace the *Morton Salt No. 1.* She was broken up at River Rouge in 1991, replaced by Gaelic's *GTB 1.*
