The Globe and Mail is reporting that 5 Greenpeace activist have boarded the Algomarine at Nanticoke for the purpose of delaying the delivery of coal. The activist have also painted a slogan on the hull in protest of the use of coal over other clean energy options. The boarding took place this morning and the Coast Guard has been called to remove the protesters. I am sure there will be more to follow. Is this the first time a freighter has been boarded in protest?
