Voyageur Independent sustained a steering system failure while maneuvering along the lower wall of Eisenhower Lock. Initially, the Master reported that a computer card was replaced and the vessel was ready for the inspector. The inspector arrived during the late afternoon hours, but as of about 2030 hours she was still tied up on the lower wall.
