The satellite TV antenna is on the STBD edge of the pilot house roof. If they were STBD side to on the North face of the dock, satellite reception would probably be blocked by the dock and/or the ore cars on top. This shouldn't be a problem on the South face. Don't laugh, it is an important consideration. I've had to relocate antennas because of problems at this type of loading dock.
