Vulan was built in 1975 in Spain and launced as Ponte Pedrido, subsequently renamed Banda Azul, Stav, then Vulcan. She was a sister to the Golden Sky (Ex. Ponte Pasje, Dry Sack, Golden Star) and Arosa (Ex. Castellblanch), Arosa was a bit different on deck as she was fitted with retro fitted cranes. These were great ships, very comfortable and excellent handling. I believe her last trip up here was in 1998 and had a minor grounding mishap in the Amherstburg Channel. I have since lost track of her but I'm quite certain I read a report a few years back that she went to the boneyard. Perhaps someone can fill in that blank.
