On the Blough, when she first came out, the vibrations in the after cabins were intolerable. The third ass't room used to be called the music room. It was right next to the bulkhead, where the unloading shuttle boom was located, and the noise from the boom saddle was unbelievable, especially at full speed or in shallow river waters. I understand aafter I got off of the Blough that this shroud was installed and kept down a lot of the propeller vibrations.
