There are still a number of Victory ships laid up in the US Maritime Administration's strategic reserve fleets, though their numbers are dwindling fast these days. Three Victory ships have been preserved as museums, at least two of which are preserved in working order and are steamed up occasionally for special day trips. One of them also happens to be named American Victory (http://www.americanvictory.org/ based in Tampa, Florida. The other working example is the Lane Victory in San Pedro, California which has appeared in a number of movies over the years (http://www.lanevictory.org/ The third preserved Victory is the Red Oak Victory in Richmond, California (http://www.ssredoakvictory.org/ I don't think she's running yet, but that appears to be the long term goal.
