I have known Greg for a long time when he had the Islay. I was able to run as engineer for him one day as I already had some experience with a 4 cyl. Khalenberg that used to be on the Iroquois. Those are some really amazing and beautiful engines. The air system builder was a manuel unloading valve, so you had to keep an eye on it or it could blow up on you. Of course the air was used not only for the whistle but also to restart the engine when you wanted to go in reverse...hehe. Then set the throttle too at the engine depending on how fast you wanted to go. I remember writing a term paper on how to start one of these engines. Lots of steps involved.
