I believe the destination was the American Shipbuilding Co. yard on the Calumet across from the present day KCBX dock. I think the Cliffs Victory, McKee Sons, Joe Thompson, Girdler, White, Patton and possibly Sparrows Point, Johnstown and Elton Hoyt II came into the lakes by that route and method.
