She was doing 17.1 going up Lake Michigan yesterday. If we pumped her out to a "running trim" type of ballast where you only really have ballast in the stern and little in the bow end, I am sure she would go over 18 easy. As far as why so many trips to Superior......sounds like the Acid Empire is being phased out for now in Ind Hbr and the ore from Superior is being brought in. The only ore she can carry out of Escanaba now is Royal.
