In the book "The night the Fitz went down", Captain Paquette makes a reference to the Five Bridges area in Indiana Harbor. Was he speaking of the area in the canal at the south end of the mills where the railroad bridges are of 4 different railoads? Was there ever a time when the Lakers ventured down the canal beyond the bridges, or has it always been strictly barge traffic south of the mills? Thanks.
