I photographed Ryerson (from the Washington Island ferry)in service in 1990, as Ryerson was carrying ore from Escanaba through the Death's Door passage at the tip of Door County. With the boat returning to the Escanaba-to-Burns Harbor run, is it likely the Death's Door route will be used? It seems other vessels sometimes use the Rock Island Passage.
