Marine channel 16 is the calling and distress channel. Channels 11, 12, 13, and 14 are used for traffic control plus some harbours. Vhannel 13 is also bridge to bridge commercial vessels. Channels 8 and 10 are the most common ships to ship commercial channels. The USCG uses 21A, 22A, 23A and 81A. The most common for the Canadian Coastguard is 82A>
