Johnny, I grew up in C'wood. Saw many launches with the "Paterson"(2) - now "Pineglen" being the last one I saw go in. 1883 -1986 was the time the yard was around. The local museum is sorely lacking in a display of any depth. Grab Skip Gilham's book "Ships of Collingwood" (revised edition). I remember well how the heart of the town died when the yard closed. Even the Mountain View Hotel is closed now. Now it's role is a tourist town that has gentrified somewhat since the 80's. Owen Sound has a better museum for marine related items.
