USCGC Southwind, WAGB 280 aka USN Atka, AGB 3, I am proud to say I was stationed aboard her 66 to 69. She was in fact a lend lease ship to Russia. Rest of the story is the last year they had her, they stuck herself in the artic ice. The crew abandoned her, USN had to go retrieve her in the spring. Good ship, lots of stack fires though. I made 1 north and 2 south trips on her. semper paratus
