Hard to say Patrick. I looked at the TIFF file and it definitely looks like a G, C, or an O. The most likely candidate is still the Hyacinth. The fourth letter is a C. It is very possible that a lighthouse tender could have children and passengers on board as well. Many lighthouses had lightkeepers (usually a lightkpeer and an assistant lightkeeper) and their families living on site. Some families left during the winter and lived on the mainland and some came and went mid season. There were also inspections that occured rather frequently during the summer months. I would imagine that some of these inspectors would also bring their families along for the excursion/boat ride.
