Just to set the record straight, The History Channel's Deep Sea Detectives episode on the 1929 S.S. Milwaukee disaster airs at 10 p.m. EDT/9 p.m. CDT on Monday, March 6th. It will be an interesting show with lots of historical background, reenactments and computer animation. I worked extensively behind the scenes and on-camera with the production crew. They did a thorough job and worked long hours to produce a compelling show. Much of the reeanactments were shot aboard the museum ship S.S. City of Milwaukee at Manistee, Michigan. Consider a membership or volunteer your services to help preserve the City of Milwaukee, which is a National Historic Landmark and a fine example of a mid-twentieth century steam-powered railroad car ferry.
