Thank you for your responses! I appreciate them very much!! Here is the information that I know. It's not much, but hopefully it will help. My friend's dad's name is Melvin James McIntyre. He sometimes went by the name "Bo" and I think "Jim". He was born around 1903 and died in 1969. Unfortunately, exact birth/death dates are not known. He is buried in the Wayne Township Cemetary in Lucas county, Ohio. He served on boats that frequented Toledo from the 1920's to the 50's, which probably explains him being a coal passer. The picture was B/W and of "Bo" inside the boat, so I could not see any distiguishing marks on the outside of the boat. I will try and get the picture and load it, but that may take some time. Unfortunately, John, his son, doesn't have much information about the names of the boats he may have served on. I wish I had some other facts to help find more information about "Bo". I told John this would be a longshot, but that I'd try. Appreciate your help!! Joe
