You have to start out as a deck hand and work your way up the ladder,12m. AB ticket 1st.then another test for the next level,its just a matter of time and how much time you have to spend with the job.The pay is about average for the job.and as far as the Deck Off.goes.Well,thats another story also.And as for the Capts.pay.well there again its the company your with and how good of a boat handler you are.Right now there seems to be alot of Mates waiting for a boat to sail.But don't give up just yet.Stick with it...
