Navy 28 November 1940 and renamed USS *Namontack* YN 46 and converted to a net tender for use at Norfolk, VA; new naval measurements, 94.42 x 25 x 8.5 Redesignated YNT 14, 1942; redesignated YTB 738, 1945. Sold 1947 to Moran Towing & Transportation Co., New York, and renamed *Thomas E. Moran.* Renamed 1947 *Harriet Moran.* Repowered 1956 with twin Cleveland Diesel 12-278-As, built 1944, connected to original motors, 1200 bhp. Sold 1975 to Wallin Marine Corp., Staten Island, NY, and renamed *Viking.* Sold 1986 to McAllister Towing Corp., Georgetown, SC, and renamed *Georgetown.* Renamed 1992 *Sharon Elizabeth.* Sold 2005 to Zenith Tug Co., Duluth, MN; to be renamed *Stateboro.* Her new owner, Franz, will probably see this and make additions or corrections.
