As far as the BayShip and AmShip Footers their are many differences. The cabins are totally different. the AmShip boats have the raised forecastle and a more streamlined hull below the waterline at the stern. Engines are of totally different makes. As to what design is better will depend on who you ask. I'd take the AmShip footers over a BayShip one any day. The AAAs are: Arthur M. Anderson, Cason J. Callaway, Philip R. Clarke, Armco, Reserve, Kaye E. Barker, Pathfinder (sailed as J.L. Mauthe when a powered vessel) and William Clay Ford (now scrapped).
