It is highly unlikely that the Crapo is fired up because it doesn't have a crew and is basically decommissioned (there isn't even a ship watchman except for LaFarge people). They may be deicing her with steam supplied from a shoreside steam supply. The weather here is probably making the decks very icy and hazardous to work on.
