I believe some of you are confusing the Thames River with the "Chenel Ecarte" A.K.A "The Sni" which splits Walpole Island with mainland Canada. The entry way to this river is directly across the St. Clair river from Algonac. The Thames entry pt. is in southern Lake St.Clair.
