Mariner has been used as a storage hulk and fireworks platform for the past two years in Toronto Harbour. Last sailed for the 2002 grain rush with an extended certifcate, after ULS had to drydock another ship for colision damage repairs. Venture has just been a charter member of the rust fleet for almost four years, rotted out from the inside with hold/tank failure. not even fit for a Redpath sugar winter storage load. Trader has been used down the St.Lawrence for a year as a storage hulk. Most view tonnage as sailing tonnage. But money can be made using unsailable tonnage as storage tonnage. But I guess the price of scrap outweighs storage income cheers jack the lad
