Taconite Harbor does not currently load ships. The only commercial vessel traffic there is the delivery of coal to the power plant there, my guess is that it happens once or twice a month. The coal is loaded at the Superior Midwest Energy Terminal - check their website at www.midwestenergy.com/activity or through boatnerd's vessel passage site. Click on the "destination vessel schedule" and look for Interlake Steamship company ships delivering to "MNP Taconite Harbor". As of now, it looks like the James R. Barker is scheduled to arrive there with coal at 1100 on July 14th, but that time and maybe even date will likely change, as it's still two weeks away.
