Typical average times are = between Parisien and Light 26-1:10,between Light 26 and Point Louise-15'. Between DeTour to Mud Lake Junction-1:40, between Mud Lake Junction and 9 Mile-1:40,between 9 Mile and 6 Mile-:20', between 6 Mile and Mission-30'. 2:30 is normally the transit time as is used by the lockmaster and the visitors' center to post arrivals (after Soo Traffic calls the lockmaster landline *in addition to traffic calling the lockmaster on Channel 14 from out there*) down to the locks from Parisien, and 3:30 from Whitefish Point (where the one-hour pre-call mandatory call-in-point before Parisien is typically done at as they're making the major course change abeam of the point). 3:30 is also normally the transit time (as also used by the lockmaster and the visitors' center to post arrivals (also after Soo Traffic calls the lockmaster landline) up to the locks from Mud Lake Junction. Traffic in either direction can then determine if they'll be delayed at the locks or not (based on who is up at Mud Lake Junction or down at Whitefish and when). The "Rockpile" (officially known as "Bayfield Dike Lt." according to the CCG and the local area U.S. nautical charts) is no longer the upbound dispatch call-in-point for the lockmaster ("WUE-21", formerly "WUD-31"); it's supposed to be done when traffic gets 'above' Mission (and likewise coming down-it's supposed to be done 'below' Big Point) ,but usually instead it's done abeam of Mission (and abeam of Big Point coming down).
