after looking at the pics, i say those plates were welded pretty good , none of the welds broke, and they bent just like sheet metal--- this the first time seeing , pics like this, so forgive me, if the config. of the plates is normal, i didn't know what to exspect, when i heard about the accident. could it be that the new cutter, responds, quicker, and this was the first time breaking ice, that close to a boat?,just wondering, mike
