I'm looking for historical information on the inner breakwall (year completed and its purpose)that surrounds Lakeside Yacht Club at E 49th street. The area surrounded by the wall is approx. 8 acres. The opening on the west end is rather narrow suggesting it was used for smaller vessels, perhaps work boats used in construction of the water lines to the crib? Is there a recommended book or reference source that may have the information? Thanks for your help. JW
