I can think of two reasons the Doria is in worse shape, other than the potential for materials of lesser strength and quality. First, I understand that the currents and turbulence in the area of the Doria are considerably more severe than where the Titanic lies. That could account for greater decay. Also, being in much shallower waters, therefore warmer temps and more destructive life forms, leads to quicker decay. I'm sure that being on her side contributes to the collapse as well, since her architects no doubt didn't design her to withstand those stresses, figuring that she'd never be on her side. Interesting to note that the Stockholm was still sailing under a different name last I knew, having received a major overhaul within the last few years.
