*** DOWN *** The CALUMET was at the SE Shoal at 1319. The RESERVE, bound for Lorain with taconite, is due at the Salt Dock around 1830-ish. *** UP *** The ALPENA was at the Salt Dock at 1122. The CSL LAURENTIEN, in serious ballast & bound for Thunder Bay, is due at the Crib at 1709. SHe'll be stopping at Imperial for fuel. The ATLANTIC HURON, bound for Superior, Wisconsin, is due at the Shoal at 1700. *** OTHER *** The SOUTHDOWN CHALLENGER is at Medusa until about 0200, when she'll head up to Cheboygan in ballast. The AMERICAN REPUBLIC has dropped the hook off the face of Zug Island to wait for the water levels to come back up (at +7.0 inches at 1459). *** That's it for me until Monday, 1/5/04.
