While walking on the beach today I found what looks like a piece of the edge of a china plate, a small piece of driftwood with some carved ridges on it, and a knotted rope bracelet like the ones sailors wear. All these items were found within a few yards of each other. The bracelet has a very rusted clasp on it and the presence of this clasp leads me to believe it's probably not very old. The piece of china is a blue and white pattern and it looks like it was part of a plate with scalloped edges. I really don't know what to make of the piece of driftwood. I know there are a handful of shipwrecks just off the Charlotte and Summerville piers, about a mile from where I was walking. Is it possible that any one or all of these objects are from those wrecks? Any information will be greatly appreciated.
