Reese, the cement is shipped as a fine powder which when aerified flows much like a liquid. It is pumped into the hold using air-slide loaders. During unloading, the cement falls out of the holds onto either a conveyor belt, or auger system which take the cement forward. There it is caught by a large pump which sends it over the side by two large pipes.
