I guess that I can go further on the seasickness thing, I served on board the USS Richmond K. Turner DLG/CG 20 for a trip to Vietnam in 68 and we endured several "tropical storms" that threatened to roll us over (we rolled almost 50 degrees). I didn't get seasick then, but I came out of Sasebo Japan harbor in a mean long rolling swell and a hangover and finally got seasick.
