.Hamilton's Stelco today announced it is filing for bankrupcy protection. A 4pm. news conference was called and the announcement made. Production of steel will not stop but will run at a reduced rate. Stelco has been losing money as wellas all other NA steelmakers. This will cause a ripple effect to all other support industries as well as the shipping industry. A few more ships may be tied to the wall this year. Local 1005 of the steelworkers union is to make a statment later on tonight
