Years ago when I was just starting out in the boatnerding hobby I was looking through some post cards that I had picked up at the Soo, and was impressed by the looks of the Steelton, so I wrote to the Steamship Historical Society of America and the Great Lakes Historical Society looking for info. Can't remember which one provided that little tidbit now, but for some reason it stuck with me.
