i read an article in profressional mariner a year or so ago and they had an article on forein ship breakers and after all is said and done with the tow and other various expenses incurred the ships owner can pocket up to 1.5 million us dollars but this also depends on the vessel and her length if i can find it i will scan and post it for all to read it was very interesting and amazing y so many ships get scrapped overseas
