In today's enviornment of cost savings and crew reductions can someone tell me what the crew compliment of the pilot house is during a typical watch ? Also...what exactly is the role of the watchman ? Is he/she located on the bridge or somewhere else on the boat ? I would think that the bow or stern would be the ultimate "watch" spot.
