Does anybody know what the regulations are (if any exist) for private marine steam boilers? particularly boiler inspections and safety-valve settings. I am sure the coast guard inspects those of commercial vessels. (if there are any steam engines left on commercial vessels) For example, antique traction engines in Ontario must have their boilers annually inspected and safety valves set. Does this apply to boilers of small steamboats? I am so far not aware of any laws that govern private marine power-plants.
